New Year New Me

 New Year New Me

This last year I have gone and overcame a lot of mountains that if it was not for God I would be not so great now. I have grown and became stronger each day because of the challenges I have gone through. Today I was doing a devotional from Joyce Meyer's Trusting God Day by Day that was about not giving up and going through things is a good thing. This is some of the things I got out of it-
  •   Going through something is a good thing because it means you are not stuck, are moving past it.
  • God tell us in Isaiah 43:2 that we will go through stuff but He will be with us
  • We do not grow or learn during the good times
  • If we stay faithful and do not give up, you will see the 'pay off'
  • Never give up trust God, know HE will be with us. With this I will grow in faith
  • The Lord never gives up on us, never give up on Him

"The Lord God is my strength," -Habakkuk 3:19

This goes a long with a sermon that was preached at my church on the first of the year. I love how everything is perfect timing because God is in charge.

The service was of course about the New Year but it had me thinking, it was put in a way I never thought about before-

Title of the service was Remember-

Deuteronomy 7

  • We need to know all the pain 2013 brought us into 2014
  • God is faithful: our sorrow brings us hope
  • God will show up in our struggle
  • We do not deserve or earn the love of God
  • Stay away from Pride
  • We were nothing- God choose us. He chooses the small because He is big
  • Do not be afraid, remember what He has done for you
  • He never leaves you
  • Do not gloat over me, my enemy! Though I have fallen, I will rise. Though I sit in darkness, the Lord will be my light. - Micah 7:8

  • God's plan is better than your plan
  • God's plan may look harder than your plan
  • You do not struggle then you do not grow
  • Crush the idols- forget the gold and sliver
  • Jesus is my provider- You cannot even walk eat breath without Him
  • I have a great Savior
  • Let Go & Let God

Romans 3:5

Look up the sermon here- Let me know what you got of it-
